About Patti J. McCarthy McCarthy

Patti McCarthy is a visiting assistant professor teaching film and screenwriting at the University of the Pacific, Stockton, CA. She holds a PhD in critical studies in film from University of Southern California, a MFA in film production from University of Southern California. Prior to teaching, she worked for producer Ray Stark in the film industry for many years and was involved in such notable projects as: Harriet the Spy, To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday, Random Hearts, American History X, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Dr. McCarthy co-produced the documentary film, Clint Eastwood presents Dave Brubeck: In His Own Sweet Way, and recently produced a series of short, biographical documentary films about George Lucas. She has been a keynote speaker for many events and conferences, including the Star Wars 30th Anniversary Conference, and is a frequent panel moderator and speaker at the University Film & Video Association.
