About Samar Habib
Dr. Samar Habib is the author of Female Homosexuality in the Middle East and the editor and translator of I Am You (Ana Hiya Anti): A Novel on Lesbian Desire in the Middle East by Elham Mansour. As well as being the author of several academic works, she has also published a novel, A Tree Like Rain and Islands in Space: Selected Poems. She is currently at the University of Western Sydney where she teaches classes on Arab popular culture, gender, and Islam, and continues her research on homosexuality in the Arab world. Dr. Habib is the chief editor of Nebula: A Journal of Multidisciplinary Scholarship.
