About John Kilburn

John C. Kilburn, Jr. is a professor of sociology and criminal justice as well as the associate dean of research at Texas A&M International University. He holds a PhD and MA from Louisiana State University, and a BA from the University of New Orleans. He has published in several journals such as Social Forces, Urban Affairs Review, and Criminal Justice Review. Dr. Kilburn has served as an advisor to numerous nonprofit and governmental agencies on topics related to community crime.

Stephen Costanza

Stephen E. Costanza is an assistant professor of political science and criminal justice at the University of South Alabama. He holds a PhD from Louisiana State University and BA and MA from the University of New Orleans. He has published on various topics related to community security and homeland security. Dr. Costanza has published in several journals such as Police Quarterly, Journal of Criminal Justice, Security Journal, and The Journal of Social and Ecological Boundaries. He has performed substantial work with various charitable and reform organizations.
